Internal conflict is the main reason behind the failure of government, says minister for science and technology, Fawad Chaudry
When asked by senior anchorperson Suhail Warraich, why the center of people’s hopes and wishes the ruling PTI has failed to deliver, and who is mainly responsible for that, minister for science and technology, Fawad Chaudry revealed some surprising fact and reasons behind the failure. Here is how he started, “No doubt that the expectations from the PTI government are of massive nature, the PTI has been elected by the people for upper-level reforms in the system not to tighten the nuts and bolts. With such great expectations, there is no doubt a yardstick of high quality to measure our performance, and our mistakes fill the left-gaps”. Replying to the question of the host, Suhail Warraich, what steps have been taken by the government to bring about reforms in different sectors like social, bureaucracy, judiciary, etc, or it was just the matter of saying, Fawad Chaudry said that when Pana case was resolved and we discussed with Imran Khan, then he was not prime Minister, over different matters, Imran Khan’s views and agenda were very clear regarding reforms in different sectors. Where the problem showed up was after the election when infighting among Jahangir Tareen, Asad Umar, and Shah Mehmood Qureshi started, which resulted in getting the main players out of the game. The political vacuum was created which was filled by the newcomers, and this team was not familiar with the implementation of ideas and lack experience in politics, therefore, in order to get your idea to the peak, you must have a team of experts which helps you in getting the required results. He concluded his answer with words that this political clash among the key players of the party shattered the party, whereas, on the other hand, new entries could not align themselves with the ideas and plans of achievements.
Suhail’s warrant asked him what makes Imran Khan fail external politics? Answering this question, Fawad Chaudry said that when internal politics is weak one cannot have handed over the external politics. Although, Imran Khan is one of the capable leaders of the Muslim world, due to internal conflict he cannot deliver in the external affairs of Pakistan. The allocation of inept people on important posts is one of the main reasons that external politics couldn’t work, as did by Nawaz Shareef and Benazir Bhutto for the welfare of their own families as they wanted to transfer the leadership to their own children. After the fact that Imran Khan has no such agenda as Nawaz and Benazir had, Imran Khan followed the consultations of some incapable people.
The lawmaker further said, that when Asad Umar was finance minister, Jahangir Tareen succeeded in removing him from his post and when Asad Umar stepped back he got revenge with full dedication, and this infighting became the main reason that Imran Khan couldn’t implement his vision and eventually, Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf failed to deliver, and everything is standstill.
